Hawaii Households and International Knowledge

Growing up in a Hawaii Household around foundations of locals that have built from the times of the Hawaiian Kingdom has raised awareness of: Western Practices, Eastern Practices, Local Practices, Hawaiian Practices, and Global Practices. Understanding Hawaii Practices surrounding birth helps people build a natural affinity for birth by knowing about it rather than having it be shrouded in mystery. Local Culture grew from those who lived in Hawaii and it had multiple practices, influences, and cultures that would infuse knowledge and passion of the people into the Hawaii way of doing things. This would not stray far from core principles of the established Hawaiian culture that is the closest to the land through familiarity and traditions passed on for generations.

What seems as tiresome and overly complete with a wide spectrum of culture variety and understanding is actually something that makes Hawaii special, but this is usually only understood after staying away from the islands for awhile and a person gets home sick for the first time. Other places in the world feel like something is missing, but that's because the experience of growing up in Hawaii is unique, spending time so close to grandma and grandpa who impart themselves into the youth. Or even those of an older age who pass on the knowledge of their own ancestors to cause a rebirth of knowledge from one generation to the next, which by many is identified as the teachings of Haumea that goes across multiple cultures of the local lifestyle.

In Local Households, especially multicultural ones it was important to pass on skills to the next generation, stories of each person and family, and reinforce the Local culture and Hawaiian culture that compliment one another with the ethnic diversity of the "Ohana". A genealogy can have many lessons of different cultures based on family or friends who were part of the family and that can extend quite far. A Local is in the vastness of the ocean as they are born "Kama'aina" children of the land and have to navigate from their family to other families to celebrate the ancestors of those living on the land and those who were there before. A person maybe able to live the Local-Lifestyle, but to be born into it as a Kama'aina raises the connection to be born of the land. It celebrates in a way all of the Local ancestors and by organizing by land shows the importance of the area and the energy that comes from it through its protection and passed on information.
